House-Museum after Ucha Japaridze

The museum was opened in the house of the national artist of Georgia Ucha Japaridze, who is considered an honorary citizen of Tbilisi and a laureate of the Shota Rustaveli State Prize. Ucha Japaridze was born in 1906 and since childhood, he had shown interest and talent in painting. During his life, he presents a lot of works with a variety of genres and techniques clearly expressed.

After the death of the national artist in 1988, a museum was opened in his house presenting more than 1456 exhibits, including not only paintings but also personal belongings of the artist, photographs, documents, etc.

The museum is open to visitors every day except Mondays from 11:00 to 18:00. The museum organizes excursions in foreign languages.
